Harris County Announces Small Business Recovery Fund

adminCovid-19

On Monday, Harris County began accepting applications for the Harris County Small Business Recovery Fund (SBRF) program with the application period running until July 24.  This is a $30 million grant program designed to assist small businesses operating in Harris County that have been negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.  Eligible businesses can obtain grants up to $25,000 to support their ongoing operations.

The program is funded through the federal CARES Act and does not have to be repaid.  However, the SBRF program funds are limited and only a subset of randomly selected applicants will receive grants.

Eligible businesses include sole proprietorships, partnerships, self-employed individuals, non-profits and independent contractors.  However, residential builders are not eligible.
