Election Information

Go Vote!

voteThe primary election date is May 29, the Tuesday after Memorial Day weekend. Many of our very supportive legislators have drawn primary opponents and in most districts whoever wins the primary will win the seat in office. This emphasizes the importance of getting out the vote. Take advantage of Early Voting—Monday, May 14 through Friday, May 25.

The GHBA HOME-PAC trustees interview candidates for certain open seats in the state legislature. Here is a list of the PAC’s endorsements, including incumbents. Print it out and take it with you to the polls.

Because we do not interview nor endorse in judicial and certain other positions, we have included the endorsements made by the HRBC (Houston Realty Business Coalition) to which we belong and share similar interests, and endorsements by the C-Club, which also shares similar interests. Because we do not interview in those races, this is not an endorsement of those candidates, just information for you to use in your deliberations. VOTE!

On March 1, 2012, by federal court order, the 2012 Primary Election date has been set for May 29; the 2012 Runoff Election date has been set for July 31.
