The City of Houston in partnership with the Greater Houston Builders Association (GHBA) is

hosting the Second Annual Come Home – “The Home Buying Process”, to be held Saturday,

March 28, 2009 from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm at the George R. Brown Convention Center, 1001

Avenida de las Americas Exhibit Hall.

The first event held on March 29, 2008 was a renowned success where over 2500 potential

homebuyers and families met with builders and lenders to begin the process of becoming

homeowners. The general public had the opportunity to meet lenders and learn about the

many lending options available and builders were able to promote their subdivisions and

floor plans. And persons were also able to learn the City of Houston’s Homebuyers

Assistance Program that provides up to $40,000 in down payment assistance to income

eligible homebuyers.
