About the speakers:
Ray Landry has been originating HUD-insured multifamily loans for Davis-Penn Mortgage Co. since 1995. He His previous experience includes liquidation work with the Resolution Trust Corporation and the Federal Land Bank system, as well as commercial lending. He obtained a Commercial Banking degree from Louisiana State University.
Crystal Rienth is a 30 year veteran of the Department of Housing and Urban Development. In 2009, Crystal was became the Supervisory Project Manager and Chief Underwriter for the Multifamily Production Branch. She supervises a staff consisting of project managers, appraisers and construction analysts responsible for underwriting FHA/HUD mortgage insurance for apartment projects.She holds a BA from Our Lady of Lake University, a Texas Real Estate Salesman’s License, and a Certified General Appraiser License. With the rollout of the HUD’s Multifamily Accelerated Processing (MAP) program in 2000, Rienth became a national trainer for HUD/FHA multifamily mortgage underwriters and HUD multifamily staff with emphasis on appraisal review and environmental assessments.
About the Council:
The Multifamily Council serves and represents the specific interests of builders, developers, building owners, architects, engineers and managers. The council advocates for legislative initiatives that support all size and types of condominiums and rental apartments. They work to eliminate regulatory barriers that drive up the cost of multifamily housing. The council promotes the benefits of green building, safety and higher density housing in providing a wide range of housing choices along with smarter approaches to growth and the revitalization of urban areas across the country.
All association members are invited to attend the MFC meetings, held every other month. The purpose of these meetings is to bring Houston-area multfamily professionals together to discuss their issues, provide solutions and network with peers.
