The Associate Council is made up of members who serve as representatives for the general associate membership. The council develops, promotes and coordinates active participation within the Greater Houston Builders Association. The council is responsible for non-dues income generated through the following events: Golf Tournaments, a BBQ Cook-Off and more. The Associates Council also participates in philanthropic activities such as the Frank Aranza Adopt-a-Family Project where member companies “adopt” families in need. The members of the council are actively involved in the New Home and Remodeling Show, the Product Expo and also provide scholarships to assist member’s children in pursuing a college degree.

The council meets the first Thursday of each month at the GHBA offices at 11:30 a.m. with no meeting in July & December. Each meeting features 2 sponsors who address the audience as well as a guest speaker at all meetings, which is typically a builder.  All GHBA members are invited to attend the meetings. Registration is required.
