Why Join the Custom Builders Council?
In March of 1997, 10 custom builders of the Greater Houston Builders Association met for the purpose of discussing challenges faced by custom builders today, and how a Custom Builders Council could address these challenges while providing members with hands-on information they could incorporate in their everyday business activities. Today, the Custom Builders Council has grown to more than 150 members, all of whom are GHBA members and custom builders - a prerequisite to membership. Issues and opportunities addressed include contract standardization, education programs, political updates, builder/realtor relations, codes and standards, and co-op purchasing. The Council meets the second Wednesday of every month at 11:30 a.m.
