Construction Superintendent of the Year This award will be presented to the CUSTOM BUILDER CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENT and the VOLUME BUILDER CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENT who has made an outstanding contribution in building new homes during the past calendar year. Judging will be based on success in the field by outstanding achievement in quality, building volume, customer satisfaction, continuing education and professionalism in ethics, attitude and overall performance. Entrants who have won this award in the one year prior to 2008 are not eligible for this category. All candidates must be employed by a current member of the GHBA. Candidate must be available for an in-person interview March 13, 2008 and March 14, 2008, candidate will be notified with assigned day and time after February 12, 2008. Marketing Professional of the Year This award will be presented to the BUILDER MARKETING PROFESSIONAL and DEVELOPER MARKETING PROFESSIONAL, shown to have made the most significant contribution to the success of the entrant's employer during the year. Since marketing encompasses a broad spectrum of activities in builder and developer companies, entrants need not be limited to individuals with a marketing job title. Areas of review will be company positioning in the marketplace through product development, merchandising, sales advertising, market research, and public relations. Entrants must have served in their current position for a minimum of one year. Candidates who enter this category will not be eligible for Sales Manager of the Year. Entrants who have won this award in the one year prior to 2008 are not eligible for this category. All candidates must be employed by a current member of the GHBA and be a current member of the SMC. Candidate must be available for an in-person interview March 13, 2008 and March 14, 2008, candidate will be notified with assigned day and time after February 12, 2008. Candidate must bring boards for presentation at time of interview. Mortgage Specialist of the Year This award will be presented to the MORTGAGE SPECIALIST who has made a remarkable contribution to the new home sales process during 2007. Judging will be based on demonstrating success in the field by outstanding new home generation or closing volume, financing techniques, philosophies, industry involvement, professionalism and results. Entrants who have won this award in the one year prior to 2008 are not eligible for this category. Candidate must be available for an in-person interview March 13, 2008 and March 14, 2008, candidate will be notified with assigned day and time after February 12, 2008. This award will be presented to the REALTOR who has made a remarkable contribution to new home sales during the past calendar year. Judging will be based on selling techniques, philosophies, industry involvement and results. Candidate cannot be an on-site sales agent for a builder/ developer and must be employed by a licensed real estate broker whose primary function is the listing and selling of resale homes. Entrants who have won this award in the one year prior to 2008 are not eligible for this category. Candidate must be available for an in-person interview March 13, 2008 and March 14, 2008, candidate will be notified with assigned day and time after February 12, 2008. Rookie On-Site Salesperson of the Year This award will be presented to the ROOKIE ON-SITE SALESPERSON who, though new to the industry, has made a significant contribution during the past calendar year. Candidate must have had no previous home sales experience prior to January 1, 2007 and must exhibit the most professional approach to selling techniques in new home sales. All candidates must be employed by a member of the GHBA and be a current member of the SMC. The candidates will be judged on their philosophies as well as results based on quantifiable entry criteria. Candidate must be available for an in-person interview March 13, 2008 and March 14, 2008, candidate will be notified with assigned day and time after February 12, 2008. This award will be presented for BUILDER SALES MANAGER. Candidates must be full-time sales managers who are responsible for the maintenance and performance of a sales staff and the administration of all sales management duties. Judging will be based on the entrant's technical and philosophical approach to the job, as viewed by their associates, and on the results achieved during the year and interview. Candidates who enter this category will not be eligible for Marketing Professional of the Year. Entrants who have won this award in the one year prior to 2008 are not eligible for this category.
